[ Steve's fingers comb through Eddie's hair to gather it up, hips swaying in with the weight of a hand on his ass. His lips catch some curly tendrils of hair as he kisses down Eddie's exposed neck. ]

[ Steve cradles Eddie's face, smiling softly as he remembers Eddie questioning whether Steve wanted anyone to know about him at all. ]

[ Seeing Eddie happy settles the worry Steve has been carrying in his bones since yesterday and he nods, following him out. ]

[He’s a restless sleeper. For the few hours he’s been in and out of the same nightmare, Billy’s half kicked the duvet away. It covers an arm and a foot now, while the rest of him is splayed naked. His cheek rests on an inner arm, his face more at peace now that his mind has gone blissfully blank.

Asleep, Billy looks harmless, maybe even vulnerable in his nudity, with the scars on show and his lips parted just so. His eyelashes flutter against his cheeks, subconscious paranoia telling him he’s being watched, but he’s so tired, he doesn’t want to open his eyes.

But consciousness descends on him slowly. A chill on his skin, a vague sense of crawling back into his own body. His forehead furrows as light begins to filter into his vision through the veil of his lashes.

There’s the small blessing that there’s no morning wood.]

he dies, wakes up in the future, starts dating steve harrington and rolls in to billy hargrove naked and stretched out on his bed like some glorious greecian statue.

his brain takes a second to reboot. then in a hushed whisper he's turning around to face steve, his eyes wide and face flushed. ]

[ Holy shit. Steve is distracted from everything about that scene only by Eddie's alarm. He hisses a whisper, scoffing. ]

[There is a soft murmur; a weak little sound before he rolls his head and slings his arm over his eyes, croaking:] Shut the fuck up.

He’s looked worse. There’s some dark bruising under his eyes when the light is low, and if blinks too fast he thinks he sees black veins on his face. This is just his mornings, though.

He sprays himself, hauls on Eddie’s shirt and steps into his jeans, coming out as he’s pulling up the zipper, then rearranging his belt. His shoes are - right, behind Eddie. God, he needs coffee.]
